The Pomona Valley Chapter of the Piano Technicians Guild is a group of Piano Technicians and enthusiasts dedicated to the proper care and service of pianos. Located in the "Inland Empire" of Southern California, the chapter's primary focus is providing information to members about piano technology. We do this mostly through monthly meetings, annual conventions, conferences and one-on-one sharing of technical skills and knowledge.
The About Us page provides a brief history of our chapter including past chapter luminaries, a chapter member roster, as well as a list of current chapter board members. And the Find A Technician page provides a quick and convenient way of locating a Registered Piano Technician member of our chapter.
We encourage anyone interested in pianos and piano technology to browse this web site. Be sure to check the Piano Technology page for useful information about pianos.
The Piano Technicians Guild, the official organization of the Registered Piano Technician, is the world's premiere source of expertise in piano service and technology. Based in Kansas City, KS, the PTG has over 4100 members throughout the United States, Canada and around the world.
The mission of the Piano Technicians Guild is to promote the highest possible standards of piano service by providing members with opportunities for professional development, by recognizing technical competence through examinations and by advancing the interests of its members.
The Piano Technicians Guild (PTG) is a trade association with membership open to anyone with a professional or avocational interest in piano technology. However, the title of Registered Piano Technician must be earned by passing a series of rigorous examinations. PTG members who have not passed the RPT examinations may avail themselves of PTG's extensive educational offerings in preparation for their taking the RPT exams, and may advertise their PTG memberships.

Program: In February there will be no local meeting for the Pomona Valley Chapter as many of our members will be attending WestPac II in Salt Lake City.
At our March 12th meeting, Isaac Sadigursky, RPT will be talking all about center pins. He will first discuss many of the unusual and historic tools used in dealing with center pins. We will then progress to learning about re-pinning techniques while out in the field during a service call. Additionally, Isaac will cover various shop techniques and different ways to speed up the process of putting in new center pins. Can you repin all 88 center pins in under an hour? Isaac will show you how it's done! I hope you can make it down to our meeting in March to learn from one of the best!
